Our Passion

ResQ Passion

DobermanResQ

We are Doberman lovers with a passion for this beautiful breed. Too many of these wonderful creatures are thrown away each and every day. Here in Southern California there are hundreds every year who need a new family, a new beginning, and we are committed to helping them connect. Rescuing a Doberman is more than saving a life, it's expanding your family and enriching your life. No matter what they've been through, they always open their hearts to their pack - their family.

The Good, The Bad and the Needy
Our focus is on Dobermans in need of a loving home and family here in San Diego county. We work with Dobermans in need in Riverside, Orange and LA counties as time permits, though there are several excellent Doberman rescues and rescuers that focus on those areas. We feature Dobermans in shelters, local rescues and in private homes. We are run solely by unpaid volunteers helping Dobermans because of our love for the breed. We are not a free advertising board for selling Dobermans nor a place to dump a Doberman. We're a caring group who does its best to match Dobermans in need with loving families. We strive to make every placement a placement for life. Be wary of "rescues" that place their rescues out of their area - they cannot home check nor do periodic follow-ups necessary to ensure a rescued Doberman is being well cared for. We do not adopt Dobermans out of our immediate area and every adoption is with a required home-check.

The stories are sometimes sad, sometimes compelling and, we hope, always with happy endings. Our work requires private funding as we receive no Federal, State or Local funding for our work. Rehoming Dobermans, especially those who move through rescue, is expensive. Rescue Dobermans often require medical treatment, medicines, microchipping, temporary kenneling, transportation and, of course, food and treat. (We provide the love.) Visit our rescue pages to see Dobermans we know about locally and in Southern California. Read their stories and, if possible, open your heart and your home. We invite you to our rescue gallery where you can meet some of our rescues and read their stories from rescue to rehoming, you'll find it here in the adoption gallery.

We hope you find things of interest and perhaps a new love. Let us know what you think by dropping us a line or leaving a note in our guest book. We always appreciate your comments, suggestions and support..
