Red & Rust male
(1/10/08) Cody: Cody is a wonderful Doberman rescued from the South County Shelter. He had been found wandering on the streets in south county, apparently neglected. He had terrible non-contagious mange and had lost a lot of his hair. Rescue saved him and Angie nursed him back to health thanks in large part to his DobermanResQ sponsors Nick & Laura Lewis. He was an incredibly sweet Doberman but with the loss of hair from mange he was difficult to find the right home for because so many people can't see beyond looks.
A wonderful couple who had adopted an Aztec Rescue eight years earlier, Mauka, had always stayed in touch with Angie with photos and stories. At Christmas it was a sad one about Mauka succumbing to cancer. Angie called and asked if they could find it in themselves to open their hearts and home to another rescue in need. Dick and his lovely wife came out and met Cody. Dick was immediately impressed by Cody and they adopted Cody on the spot. We hear Cody's doing very well in his new home now that he's found "his people." Below are shots of Cody getting ready to go home with his newly found people.

(9/5/07): Cody: A 5 year old red & rust male with cropped ears and a docked tail. Very sweet and extremely well behaved. Gets along great with people, dogs and cats. This boy will be wonderful for almost any home. He had demodectic (non-contagious) mange and had been receiving treatments to which he respond well. Really done very well and is incredibly sweet. The first 2 photos below are recent photos, the last 2 are when he first came into rescue - a vast improvement.
