San Diego Doberman Rescue

The Project

DobermanResQ is a southern California Doberman rescue program embracing and supporting the principles of the prevention of cruelty to animals. DobermanResQ's purpose is to come to the aid of any Doberman in need if at all possible. This is accomplished by the adoption of Dobermans at risk in shelters, providing foster homes to Dobermans awaiting placement, veterinary care if necessary, evaluation, socialization and maintaining a reference file of dogs available for adoption and people wishing to adopt a rescued Doberman. DobermanResQ requests a modest donation from the adoptive home for each Doberman placed through its program.  The DobermanResQ Project is partially funded through adoption and surrender fees, but is mostly funded though donations from caring, concerned people like you - thank you for your support.

DobermanResQ Project is supported by volunteers in San Diego and Riverside counties who collectively have saved hundreds of Dobermans over the past decade and cares for each one passing through the rescue as though they were our very own. Volunteers help in the rescue and transport of Dobermans from various places in Southern California including County and Humane Society shelters. Countless hours are spent shuttling Dobermans from shelters and homes to vets as well as to perspective homes, every minute of time donated by our caring committed volunteers. Your help in these times of rising prices goes far in helping us save Dobermans. Please consider becoming an integral part of our DobermanResQ Project by making a donation to the Doberman Rescue Project by clicking the Be A Sponsor button.

Recently Adopted Dobermans

AdoptedGENESIS - An approximately 3 year old black & tan male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. Very sweet boy. A bit underweight but very affectionate and able to learn. Seems to get along with other dogs, though a bit shy at first.

CRISSY - A 1½ year black & tan female Doberman with cropped ears and a docked tail. Very timid and not socialized. She came in with Ceasar and will do best if they can be placed together. A savvy home is a must.

CEASAR - An 8 month old black & tan male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. Very timid and not sociaized. In good health and treat motivated but needs to go to a home capable of the training which will be required to bring out his best. .

STORMY - A really red (and rust) 2½ year old male with natural ears and docked tail. Loves cats, but they're not too thrilled with him. He's a happy playful, energetic boy. Needs training but overall a really wonderful guy.
